THE STUDIO
West Van Pilates is a beautiful little poolside studio located in the heart of Altamont on the North Shore of Vancouver.
Angel Negris is a competitive tennis player and started pilates when recovering from a shoulder injury. She found the supportive and strengthening movements taught in pilates helped her recover faster and feel stronger than before. She is a Comprehensive Pilates Instructor through the Balanced Body Program and currently teaches multiple group classes and privates in Vancouver. Angel will carefully create a personalized program using Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Mat to motivate and support you in your pilates journey.
WHY PILATES?
Originally called “Contrology”, Joseph Pilates introduces whole body exercises with a focus on core strength and stability in the early 20th century. Creating a stronger core will help facilitate functional and sustainable movement throughout your body.
Pilates is low impact exercises that help build strength through muscle balance, mobility and flexibility. Gaining the ability to move through your daily life with little to no pain and helping to avoid injuries.
